About this artwork
I took this photo at the airport, a place of transit but also of waiting. Passengers wait to depart or, as in this case, to hug someone arriving. I noticed this young mother with her two children, intently gazing out the large window where the planes flew, and it evoked my childhood. I was struck by the effect of the glass's reflection on the lenses of my sunglasses, so I captured exactly what I saw with my eyes and my mind, through memory.

I'm an Italian fine art photographer. I've always been fascinated by the world of shapes and colors, and I studied both analog and digital photography in Rome. Consequently, I use both 6x6 film and medium-format digital cameras for my expressive research. I don't pursue a specific photographic genre; my gaze always seeks to capture a moment of enchantment, suspended between stillness and mystery, in ordinary scenes—be they places, people, objects, or shapes. My goal in photography is to convey a sense of wonder in the viewer and awaken a sense of déjà vu. My works have received several international photography awards and have been sold at prestigious auction houses (Binoche et Giquello, Paris; Cambi, Milan). Each photograph is produced in a limited edition on signed paper and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a printed catalogue of the works.
