About this artwork
There's a moment when you crest a hill, and the landscape just rolls away in front of you. Soft curves of earth, patchwork colours, and that big endless Sky. That's the feeling I wanted to capture in my 2025 'Downs Collection'.
In Downs IV, one of the last two originals available, Soft pink skies drift above rolling green hills in this luminous downland landscape. Gentle paths and fences weave across the hillsides, guiding the eye through a patchwork… of inviting greens and warm pinks.
This piece captures the quiet beauty of the countryside when the light softens and the landscape feels almost dreamlike. The colours glow subtly against one another, creating a sense of warmth and openness that draws you into the scene.
