About this artwork
One of my favorites subjects to paint is the Jacaranda tree. During the spring of every year the Jacaranda trees in the small suburb of Sydney where I live are in full bloom. With such a beautiful spectacle like this I cannot restrain myself from painting them. Through the use of different perspectives and forms, I always attempt to depict the theme of the picture in my artistic creation.

« Works of art should be the artist's concern and reflection on society, which is the expression of personal emotion and the mind. »
Fangmin Wu is an award-winning artist based in Australia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in South Korea and China. He describes his art as a reaction to current international events and a reflection on social issues. However, Wu's landscapes not only capture beautiful scenery, but they also translate unique stories of time with historical traces that offer a modern connection. Creating in a style that blends realism with expressionism, he favors oils and acrylics.
