I sometimes integrate a letter, a word meaning at that… moment of creation, seeking to dialogue with the other who is simply the me? I am alone facing this surface, tracing endless lines like pages

Farid Izemmour is a Swiss painter of Algerian origin whose work explores the relationship between painting, language, and memory. For over forty years, he has been building a body of work in which the letter ceases to be a mere sign and becomes an autonomous form of thought. Nourished by calligraphy, geometry, philosophy, and a reflection on the mechanisms of perception, his painting offers an interpretation of the invisible, where each composition becomes a territory for exploration rather than an image to be contemplated.
