About this artwork
Here, vibrant pop art, the art of stars and starlets, meets a symbol of poverty.
A work that invites the viewer to pause and reflect with a touch of irony.
For many people, the deposit symbol represents value, livelihood – now more than ever.
With my work, I elevate the deposit symbol to a higher level by replacing the familiar dollar sign with the deposit symbol.
Bottle collectors are a common sight in every city.
They reach deeper and deeper… into the barrel to get at the "sweet nectar".
The transport options are constantly increasing.
Initially, a bag was sufficient, but then the stroller was repurposed, followed by a shopping cart, which, fully loaded with bags full of precious deposit bottles, was laboriously pushed to the nearest bottle return machine.
Young and old - everyone collect!
A tough topic, humorous and biting at the same time, presented in stencil street art style.
Technique: Stencil, Photoshop
