Femke loves to combine old with new. See the result here: old traditional costumes in combination with Femke's contemporary painting style. In this painting you see a girl from Scheveningen. The women from scheveningen gave their own touch to fashion clothing for many centuries with their costume from Scheveningen. They followed the prevailing fashion, but added a gold ear iron with a lace cap, and a neckerchief and ornamental apron. This painting… is full of colors. Made up of thousends of layers and powerful brushstrokes. Femke loves to walk the thin line between realism and abstract. She can be very precise and detailed while at the same time be expressive in her brushstrokes.

Femke Kock is an artist from the Netherlands. Just a few years ago, she left her steady job to fully dedicate herself to her career as an artist. In this short period, she has built a remarkable portfolio and won several awards. Her rendition of the Girl with a Pearl Earring was displayed in the Mauritshuis, and her works can be found in numerous private collections worldwide, from Tokyo to Paris and everywhere in between. She has also appeared on national television multiple times with her work. Femke Kock's pieces are regularly showcased at major art fairs and galleries, and she has had several notable solo exhibitions, such as at the observation deck of the Euromast in Rotterdam.
