About this artwork
I was inspired by timeless majesty and spirituality to create this photographic work with an extensive gray palette. I seek to capture the Gothic essence in the textures that speak of devotion and transcendence, but at the same time the light grays appear to "bathe" the scene with Renaissance light. A reminder of two conceptually antagonistic eras that continue to confront each other in our daily contemporaneity. When contemplating it, you can feel…
the stillness and respect that a sacred space evokes, bringing an atmosphere of contemplation and inspiring architectural beauty to any home.

Fernando Grilli, son of photographers and raised in the nuances of light, fuses photography, collage and algorithmic art. His works, imbued with techniques such as retouching and monotype, dialogue with the aesthetics of Art Deco, PopArt and the mystery of film noir. They transmit the weight of the social, the poetry of light and shadow, and a conceptual vision that sparks reflection.
