About this artwork
I love the forest, trees, and water (reflections) and have been painting it in all seasons and many colour variations for years. I live right next to a small forest and love studying the trees when I go on walks, just to go home and try to capture the randomness and perfection of how nature grows and unfolds on my canvas.
This painting shows an overgrown forest brook at twilight, which is why I chose a very limited colour palette of blues and a… bit of sage green.

Fie Freja Sandkamm is a painter and opera singer from northern Denmark, now based in Hamburg, Germany, whose rich background in both music and art infuses her creative practice.
