From the photographic moment to the painting: emotion arises and is captured in photography; in painting, it travels, matures and finds its own rhythm until it becomes obvious.

My work as a painter is deeply linked to my practice of photography. Photographing has taught me how to look: to frame, to capture light, perspective, but also to recognize those fleeting moments when a place evokes a particular emotion.

In the studio, my photographs nourish my imagination. In front of the blank canvas, they become the starting point for a new story that I freely construct through color, line, and composition.

Architecture, palm trees, horizons, sky and water compose a universe where built lines and open spaces interact. I am not trying to faithfully represent a place, but to recapture what it made me feel: a light, an atmosphere, a rare moment where everything seems to harmonize.
