About this artwork
In a white crypt, a small staircase led down to shallow, crystal clear water where tiny little flowering algae lined the surface. The colors and volumes of the immaculate crypt, although ancient, contemplate the infinite beauty of the place. A sense of peace and pleasure ininde. Dressed in a large white dress and a crown of flowers, the artist dreams of herself floating on her back.
A queen appears, rushing towards her menacingly. She knows she… is coming to meet her to drown her. The body, frozen in surprise and submission to this blonde queen, does not move.
This scene is a trauma linked to an episode in life where the artist came across crooked, profiteering and unscrupulous owners and employers in Paris who demolished her psychologically.
