About this artwork
“Amethyst II” is a dialogue between depth and light, between layers of earth and inner glow. Structures break open like naturally occurring mineral formations, as if time itself had inscribed itself on the surface. Golden pigments shimmer among fields of violet and wine-red color, much like light striking a gemstone and revealing its inner cosmos.
The relief-like surface is created using filler, marble dust, and acrylic paint. Broken lines and… fine cracks are reminiscent of natural weathering processes and geological strata. The subtle color gradients create a meditative depth that draws the eye ever deeper into it.
"Amethyst" invites you to feel the quiet power of the earth. A work that unites inner peace and raw energy, filling spaces with a mysterious, almost spiritual atmosphere.
