About this artwork
***This painting is through gallery in Seoul, South Korea - please contact me if you wish to commission a painting along this concept.***
This artwork is inspired by the retreat of glaciers, accelerated by climate change—a quiet yet powerful symbol of transformation and loss. Through flowing forms, it reflects on the passage of time and the fragile balance between presence and disappearance. Light and shadow move across the surface, inviting the… viewer to contemplate what remains as the world around us shifts. It’s a poetic meditation on impermanence, resilience, and the traces we leave behind.
This mixed media artwork is made with acrylic colors, gesso, acrylic binder mixed with sands.
Size unframed: 74.8x63” (190×160cm) with approximately 3” (8cm) of bleeds on all sides for stretching.
On linen canvas. For safety, this painting is shipped rolled in a tube and has to be stretched.
Custom stretching and framing are available.

Francesca Borgo is an award-winning Italian artist with exhibitions in Italy, France, Austria, the UK, the Netherlands, and Spain.
Artist Statement: My work explores the interplay between nature's elements and human resilience, drawing inspiration from clouds, ocean waves, and landscapes. These forms reflect life's challenges and transformations.
Through layered textures and organic shapes, I capture transitions where calm meets chaos, strength meets upheaval. My style combines soft tones with vibrant contrasts, highlighting the balance between adaptability and strength.
I invite viewers to connect with these abstract landscapes, celebrating our shared journey of growth and resilience. Influences include Zao Wou-Ki, Julie Mehretu, traditional Chinese ink painters, and architects like Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry.
