About this artwork
Where our roots touch reflects on the quiet depth of connection — the unseen space where two presences meet and gradually intertwine.
The composition unfolds through soft, wave-like forms that suggest a landscape in motion, somewhere between drifting clouds and shifting terrain.
Rather than presenting separation, the painting suggests a field of quiet convergence. Forms overlap, support, and extend into one another, evoking a bond that exists… beneath visibility — patient, evolving, and resilient. Like roots growing below the surface, the connection it reflects is grounded yet fluid, unfolding over time.
Balanced between material presence and atmospheric lightness, the work offers a contemplative rhythm in which stillness and movement coexist, well suited to contemporary interiors that favour subtlety, texture, and quiet depth.

Artist Statement:
My work explores the interplay between nature's elements and human resilience, drawing inspiration from clouds, ocean waves, and landscapes. These forms reflect life's challenges and transformations.
Through layered textures and organic shapes, I capture transitions where calm meets chaos, strength meets upheaval. My style combines soft tones with vibrant contrasts, highlighting the balance between adaptability and strength.
I invite viewers to connect with these abstract landscapes, celebrating our shared journey of growth and resilience. Influences include Zao Wou-Ki, Julie Mehretu, traditional Chinese ink painters, and architects like Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry.
