About this artwork
"Felicità" presents itself as an emotional statement rather than a simple visual composition. The work unfolds in a web of chromatic gestures that seem to arise from an inner urgency, a pulsation that transcends rational control. At the center of the canvas, a luminous mass of acid yellows expands like a controlled explosion, a sort of emotional epicenter from which more subtle chromatic vibrations radiate.
There is no figure, no narrative: the… work relies entirely on the pictorial medium to evoke a feeling that, paradoxically, defies definition. It is precisely in this vagueness that "Felicità" finds its strength: an invitation to perceive rather than interpret, to let oneself be swept away by a luminous energy that doesn't claim to represent an emotion, but to make it tangible.
Francesca Bruno uses painting and photography, drawing on her training at the Art Institute of Reggio Calabria, the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, and specialized courses in photography and short film. Her scenographic technique evolves from realism to profound abstraction, with a cinematic style that explores both reality and interior concepts. Her works exude melancholy, joy, and the power of life, inviting us to perceive the hidden beauty that only a sentimental gaze can capture.
