About this artwork
Standing before this first work in the "Me" series, I feel as if I'm looking at a memory that, though it belongs to me, no longer welcomes me. I chose to leave the colors aside in the area of the standardized faces, therefore featureless, of the members of the society I escape (because it's invasive and intrusive), as my desire is to communicate that that area is lifeless for me, as well as a memory I must escape, as can be seen on the left side…
