About this artwork
FORZA II is a resin bust of a man with a rhino mask or hat.
The piece refers to the metaphorical meanings of the Rhino symbol in ancient cultures: agility, solitary, wisdom, paradox, freedom, stability, gratitude, longevity, judgment, and grounding and peace of mind. For the artist, a Rhino reminds her a peaceful and wise creature, that does not rush in life, and ponder things with calm to make choices that are good for it, without judging others… or being fearful of other judgments.

« The stories of each character, isolated in an intimate and personal dimension, are reflections on human values, perceptions and emotions. »
Francesca Dalla Benetta is an Italian sculptor based in Mexico. After 10 years working as a makeup artist in the film industry, Dalla Benetta is now a dedicated full-time artist. Her work is characterized by anatomies and mixed forms. Faces and human bodies are combined with different textures, skins and elements, giving rise to hybrid and fantastic beings. Through unusual, strange and surreal bodies, her pieces focus on the problems of transformation, identity, the sense of belonging, self-perception and dreams.
