About this artwork
I literally saw this image during a trip to San Luis Potosí in Mexico.
I was intrigued by the hidden sides of the personality; and aspects that we rarely recognize that we have. Here is something in my mind, but on the other hand we don't see it clearly, but somehow we perceive it. Work also refers to the duality of life and death, present in the experience of each human being.

« The stories of each character, isolated in an intimate and personal dimension, are reflections on human values, perceptions and emotions. »
Francesca Dalla Benetta is an Italian sculptor based in Mexico. After 10 years working as a makeup artist in the film industry, Dalla Benetta is now a dedicated full-time artist. Her work is characterized by anatomies and mixed forms. Faces and human bodies are combined with different textures, skins and elements, giving rise to hybrid and fantastic beings. Through unusual, strange and surreal bodies, her pieces focus on the problems of transformation, identity, the sense of belonging, self-perception and dreams.
