About this artwork
The hourglass, in the style of paradoxical hyperrealism, of perfectly transparent glass containing a coconut suspended in the upper half. From the rough shell, white milk flows into the lower part inside half the shell creating a splash. The slow flow of milk through the neck of the hourglass symbolizes the passage of time, transforming what is whole into something new and irreversibly different. The composition invites us to reflect on the fragility… of the present moment and the beauty of transformation.
Francesca Trusso, an artist who uses oil impasto on canvas and digital techniques, explores her inner self through art. She skillfully employs saturated colors and hyper-realistic forms, sometimes using metallic leaves for light and texture effects. Her vibrant and symbolic style expresses intense emotions, evoking the transcendence of time and the exploration of the human soul, especially the feminine aspect. Hourglasses symbolize the theme of transformation, highlighting how time shapes and changes everything, including feelings. Time passes, flows and transforms, leaving an indelible mark on our experiences. These elements are represented with a hyper-realistic style, but placed in paradoxical contexts that defy logic and stimulate reflection. It is precisely in this marriage of detailed realism and surreal situations that the term she coined was born: *Paradoxical Hyperrealism*.
