About this artwork
The dragon, a symbol of mystique and power. The eye of the dragon sees all. It's as if she swam up just to get a better look at you. From the side she shimmers with metallic paint and in normal light is all green. I have equipped her with a frame and wifi , google/ Alexa controlled led lights to illuminate the sides of the painting in any color. . Since painting this , I have envisioned this painting hanging in a bar or pup. Or the centerpiece… of a man cave game room. Billard. Room . Etc. You can use a USB battery pack for the lights or plug it in. Fluffy is ready to be a part of your family. .
My name is Frank Pratorius. I’m 48 years old, born in 1978, and I live and work in Kingston, Minnesota. I started painting in 2024. I’m completely self‑taught, and I learned by experimenting, making mistakes, and following whatever felt right. I have also learned from other artists throughout my life. Once I started painting, something clicked for me, and I have painted everyday since.
My work comes from a mix of instinct, emotion, and the natural beauty around me. I also love myths, and fantasty. I don’t usually plan what I'm going to paint. I begin with a color or a feeling, and I let the painting grow from there. Sometimes the image becomes serious and more complex and sometimes simple and quick. I put a lot of emotion and movement into my work . I want my painting to envoke deep nostalgia , self contemplation ,and show the power and range of the emotions I poured into each piece.
