The classical columns evoke permanence and authority, while the stark emptiness emphasizes silence rather than debate. Onto this solemn architecture, I have subtly added a simple equation: 1 + 1 = 2.
The gesture is deliberately modest, almost childlike, yet it functions as a quiet provocation. In a contemporary… political climate where facts are increasingly contested, and truth is often reframed as opinion, the equation becomes a reminder of something universally agreed upon—an anchor of logic within a polarized reality.
Rather than shouting critique, the work whispers it. The intervention is a wink: minimal, rational, and quietly resistant. It invites the viewer to consider what remains indisputable when consensus itself has become fragile.
