About this artwork
"came a long way" - the name is both symbolic and very direct. Very direct because the work was created even more than usual as an idea of colors. Warm, strong orange-red, bright yellow, fresh sky blue and delicate lilac-purple. It should be warm, feel "round", leave an impression of security. In the course of creation, layer after layer followed, shapes that fit and shapes that completely changed the face of the work. In the end, it took courage… to approach everything differently again, to spray everything again - but it was worth it. "came a long way" was an act in the middle of which I could not see clearly what I had in front of me and what would become of it. I only knew what feeling I wanted to take away at the end.
When I look at the work now, it always captivates me. The small golden tips and accents guide the eye, the warm colors carry the view. A special jewel!
« Chaos and harmony, if you master one, you master both. »
Driven by the urge to understand the world, I translate my impressions into colors, shapes, and structures. As a work emerges, ambiguities are clarified, impressions are organized, and overwhelm is dispelled. I use colors to set the tone, while structures and shapes act like script, creating orientation and providing support. The goal is always to understand and find inner peace.
My color palette and motifs change depending on the location, resulting in multi-layered abstract paintings that oscillate between clear, geometric structures and free, flowing forms.
I live and work in Berlin, with exhibitions primarily in Germany and collectors all over the world.
