Fred Kleinberg, born in 1966 in Paris, is a painter trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Exhibiting since 1983, his work is featured in private and public collections, with nearly 200 exhibitions to his credit. His works, organized around thematic projects, are inspired by his travels around the world. He has participated in residencies at the Villa Medici in Rome (1996), the Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow (2001), India (2004 and 2018) and China (2010). Winner of several awards, the Salon de Montrouge prize in 1998, the Coprim Foundation prize in 2000, the Taylor Foundation prize in 2008, and the 1st prize for contemporary art in Monaco in 2014, the 2nd prize of the Luxembourg Art Price in 2023. His main exhibitions trace these thematic series: "Of obscenity and fury" at the Passage de Retz (2002), Baroque Flesh" at the Polad-Hardouin gallery (2011) and "Odyssey" a retrospective at the Espace Niemeyer (2023). Fred Kleinberg lives and works in Paris.
