About this artwork
I am fascinated by the world of inks in the Asian tradition, and by Turner or Monet as well as by the force of chance in Surrealism and the lyrical abstraction of the post-war period.
I like to create spaces that vibrate through the mixing of inks and linseed oil on watercolor paper.
This work is titled: Wandering...Shades...Blue...Green...Black. November 2018...
It is the result of a whole series of plastic and pictorial research around mixing… and chance.
I don't know where I'm going when I start a piece. I choose the colors, the pigments, the paper...and then I lose myself in my gestures and my colors...
