Description: 2 characters (maybe a mother and her son) converse in Russian. The smallest (the child?) points with his raised finger to the sky on the outside of the canvas. The taller character reacts with an exclamation. The background of the canvas is blue spotted with pink, echoing the color of the flesh of the protagonists.
Here the masses of color were worked… in thick layers before being refined. The expressions come from the hands more than from the face.
