About this artwork
We met during a life drawing class. An old Italian country estate, an eager, focused group of students, a demure model in swim trunks, candlelight, and good wine. The scene was intimate, yet staged. Giulia, in her self-absorption and concentration, fascinated me more than our model in his posed positions.
