About this artwork
The centerpiece of the table was a magnificent bouquet, composed not of traditional flowers, but of lush greenery such as kale, artichokes, and assorted leafy greens. Towering above the table, the oversized arrangement exuded a rustic charm, its verdant hues adding a fresh and vibrant touch to the room. Amidst the kaleidoscope of greens, the artichokes stood out with their unique shapes and textures, adding an element of intrigue to the bouquet.

I, Galyna Antonenko, am an architect by training.
I studied painting for six years in the private studio of the renowned Ukrainian artist V. Sosna. I use primarily bright acrylic paints in my works.
My art is an attempt to stop time.
When I paint women's portraits, it's as if I whisper to them: "Stop, moment—you are so beautiful!"
I am inspired by those brief, almost imperceptible moments when a person becomes truly visible—without posing, without protection, simply themselves.
The women in my paintings are not models, but reflections of inner strength, vulnerability, and beauty in simplicity.
I seek in every face that facet of light where life is hidden.
Children's portraits occupy a special place in my work. Adults strive to appear, while children strive simply to feel. And I strive to capture this pure feeling: delight, surprise, sadness, joy—everything that makes us alive. My paintings are more than just images. It is a dialogue with the moment.
