Mirror Mirror Burning Bright is a bold contemplation of inner fire and reflection, rendered through the majestic language of mountain forms. Inspired by the raw, poetic beauty of the Scottish Highlands, this piece captures a moment of transformation — where the external landscape becomes a mirror for the internal world.
The peaks, sculpted with heavy-bodied acrylics and palette knives, appear to rise and twist in a dance of shadow and light. Deep… blues, charcoals, and glacial teals give form to the mountains, while bursts of gold suggest flickers of revelation — memories, insights, or moments of clarity breaking through the surface. Set against a luminous yellow-gold sky, the composition radiates both intensity and stillness, invoking the dual nature of solitude: quiet, yet burning with presence.
As part of the Soliloquy series, this work invites the viewer into a private dialogue — with the self, with nature, and with the ever-shifting terrain of the soul.
