It is a fact of nature that a group of male humpback whales with gather around a female in season. She will race away at full speed with the amorous males in full pursuit.
The males will aggressively barge one another, breaching, tail flapping and fin slapping until the winner of the chase is accepted for mating with her. I have imagined what this might look like underwater.
