About this artwork
The way I draw is historically rooted and stems from my training in technical drawing.
Back then, my tools of the trade were a pencil in different degrees of hardness and one or two drawing stencils.
It was only a few years later that I discovered the advantages of the Rapidograph. This is a drawing instrument with a highly precise, thin tip (0.2 to 0.7 mm) which allowed me to work with the finest details.
The quality of my work is characterized… by the first and most important characteristic of drawing, namely its immediacy.
Ink plays a special role in this.
The application of lines to a surface occurs almost autonomously to create the visual message. The ink flows and shows me the way.
All drawings can be purchased as usual. Sales will not begin until the end of August 2026.
I only offer original drawings. There will be no art prints.

Gerhard Maria Heinrich Miksch is a passionate painter and draftsman with formal artistic training and membership in the Baden Art Association. His works combine analytical and constructivist techniques with elements of archaic and modern symbolism, employing ciphers and riddles to make emotional states of mind visible. Miksch's paintings fascinate with their mysterious aura and evoke in the viewer a profound, almost unconscious sense of insight and self-discovery.
