Venice - this city will increasingly become the backdrop - it is a fairy tale, a theater, probably doomed!
anyone who has never been to venice has really missed something in life. you can read a lot of books, you can see a lot of pictures,
but to go there, to be amazed - to freeze and above all to paint that is a miracle ....
this picture was still painted on an old Belgian linen, it was here for a long, long time as a canceled picture - maybe… also as a reminder of a very reduced moment ...
I was traveling a few times in Venice, it was a long time ago - you could still sit and paint for hours .. with watercolor or pencils, no cars - just bridge the bridges - it was a dream ... nice that it was is !!!

Gerlinde Kosina is a committed Austrian painter whose works have featured in exhibitions and publications in Germany, Italy, Austria and the US. With oil painting as her preferred technique, she starts with chaotic stains and strokes that she then polishes with brushes, spatulas and her hands to arrive at a harmonious place. Her primary aim and theme is peace, brought to the forefront by her colours and compositions.
