In this work I used oil paints to capture a nighttime scene that represents the beating heart of Paris. The Eiffel Tower shines as a sparkling guiding star, surrounded by a sea of lights that are lost in semi-abstract brushstrokes. The dynamic composition is intended to capture the energy and romance of the city, evoking a feeling of life and movement in every space.

Gerlinde Kosina is a committed Austrian painter whose works have featured in exhibitions and publications in Germany, Italy, Austria and the US. With oil painting as her preferred technique, she starts with chaotic stains and strokes that she then polishes with brushes, spatulas and her hands to arrive at a harmonious place.
