About this artwork
“Entanglement” arises from the attempt to make closeness and dependence tangible through painting. The starting point is a figure who, during the work process, becomes increasingly connected to its surroundings and simultaneously loses itself within them.
I work without a fixed composition. The image develops through layering, corrections, and spontaneous decisions. The figure remains fragmentary – it appears, dissolves again, and becomes part of… the movement of the entire pictorial space.
I am interested in this state between stability and dissolution.
The moment when connection means not only closeness, but also losing oneself in the other person or in one's own inner movements.
