In the past, people would go to their gardens on March 17th to prepare them for the coming year. "Seeding in Spring" commemorates the day and the awakening forces of nature, welcoming them with their new abundance. Abstract drawings symbolize the still barren nature of spring. Round-oval shapes in orange suggest seeds being sown into the cool, moist ground—painted in blue.
