About this artwork
I painted this piece directly from life, standing in my garden and letting the energy of the day shape each brushstroke. What drew me in were the layers of color and texture—the cool blue leaves, the flashes of yellow, and the rich reds that anchor the composition. I wanted to capture that sense of lushness and abundance, where one color seems to press up against another and everything feels alive.
The stone path winds through the scene, guiding… the eye in and out of the foliage, while the trellis and distant building create structure and balance. My brushwork is loose and expressive, inviting you to feel the immediacy of the moment—the sensation of looking out and being embraced by the fullness of the garden.
