About this artwork
Good vs. Evil uses the essential structure of the tic-tac-toe game as a symbolic device to explore the archetypal conflict between opposing forces. The rigorous and immutable grid becomes a space for confrontation between Xs and Os, primary signs that refer to presence and absence, affirmation and negation, choice and destiny.
At the center of the composition, a question mark interrupts the binary logic of the game, transforming the field into… a place of doubt and responsibility: not a simple move, but the very condition of man, suspended between good and evil.
Red, black, and gold dominate the other colors, reinforcing the symbolic dimension of the work: above the colors that symbolize the variety of the world, life (red), judgment (gold), and shadow (black) will always prevail.
The game is only apparently simple: the outcome is never a foregone conclusion.
