About this artwork
"Rich" is a provocative work. It suggests that for some, the dice seem loaded. The "rich" don't really play with equal odds: they possess the invisible privilege of turning every roll into a six. Their trajectories appear fluid, facilitated, almost predetermined. Chance bends to the system, and risk becomes a controlled illusion.
Yet, within this orderly construction, a fracture emerges: a small red square. A minimal element, almost negligible,… yet capable of destabilizing the entire equilibrium. It is the unexpected, the error, the crack in the mechanism of privilege. It is the reminder that no system is completely impervious to chaos.
"Rich" challenges the idea of luck and merit, highlighting how the game is never truly fair. But it also suggests that, no matter how much power manipulates the rules, there's always an uncontrollable variable waiting to reshuffle the cards.
