In "Hidden Gem," the painted surface engages with the three-dimensional element, creating a balance between mass and singularity. The wooden spheres, similar but never identical, come together like a human multitude: a collective presence, a necessary context, a common origin. Within this plurality, a pearl takes shape, small and silent, not imposing itself but waiting to be recognized.
The solid black sweeps across the canvas like a dense thought,… a force that both covers and protects, leaving only a gap, a space of possibility. The pearl emerges at this point of tension, not as an ostentatious exception, but as a latent value.
