About this artwork
Artwork from a series of minimalist, abstract scenery, a landscape of inspired and meditative, in which the artist transmits all the greatness and monumentality of nature, the world. His mystery. He portrays not so much visible and really existing objects as the interaction of space with them, reflects on the color space and its energy, state and mood, the infinite harmony of shades, which varies depending on its vibrations. His work is fragmentary,…
that the artist tries to convey to the canvas, there are no boundaries. He pulls out a fragment of space, depicting it as he feels it. This is a dialogue with this world. The breath of the wind and the touch of the sun, the structure of the tree, or the gray mass of the clouds lit by the sun, all at the same time are metaphors and comparisons, the comparison of real and transcendental. Changing and at the same time eternal.

« My Childhood was filled with art. This is where my inspiration comes from »
Hlib Franko is a Ukrainian artist whose large-scale expressive paintings reinterpret classical artistic traditions. Working primarily with landscape and botanical subjects, he brings renewed energy to traditional motifs through bold brushwork, rich color, and textured oil surfaces.
Born into a family of artists, Franko studied Monumental Painting at the Kosiv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts before earning a Master’s degree in Restoration of Easel and Monumental Painting from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. After graduating, he taught painting restoration before dedicating himself fully to his artistic practice.
Franko has exhibited internationally, and his works are held in private and corporate collections across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His practice explores the boundary between figuration and abstraction, combining classical techniques with continuous experimentation to develop a distinctive contemporary visual language.
