About this artwork
The reference to natural elements such as trees, plants or “corals” in this work is immediate, and the union of colors on a white background is strongly vocative. The vegetable thus represents a point of contact between the search for the abstract composed of the filaments of previous experiences with enamels and the path towards a sort of figurative to which the artist seems to be addressing.

Gregorio Codagnone is a painter and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally. Passionate about art in all its forms, he is inspired by architecture and the materials that "make up things". Codagnone's current sculptural pieces explore the concept of composition and decomposition, nature returning to nature. However, in his pictorial works, he integrates sensations and emotions that bind internal areas that are fragmented and distant from each other.
