About this artwork
The artist continues his study of colors with the introduction of superimposed color bases.
These colors being water-based mix together and create countless soft and gradual shades thus ensuring slow and not abrupt chromatic changes. The violent and repetitive dripping in addition to the dripping make the multitudes of colors adhere strongly to the support and are noted in relief and very material compared to the background. The bases of this diptych… are taken from the study of the painter Helen Frankenthaler in her exhibition “Painting without rules” – Florence, Palazzo Strozzi.
