About this artwork
"Amazon" is neither a mythological character nor a warrior heroine in the classical sense. She is a woman of today: standing, exposed, vulnerable, but fully present. Strong without defense, she has neither weapon nor cry, only a tense, living body that refuses to disappear.
Its fabric envelope, simple and ambiguous, is neither clothing nor nudity: a second skin, a carried memory.
His gaze does not call to the other, it asserts an autonomy, an indecipherable… interiority.
It is a figure of survival, a fragile but assumed verticality.
She is here today, in this need to straighten up.
