Gunnar Buchheister, who grew up in an art-loving family, has turned from traditional collages on paper to the digital medium. Using a brush he made himself and the recently discovered possibility of "inverted etching," he merges several image layers into a homogeneous unit. Buchheister's art is a mental mirror that surreally illustrates and visualizes the traumas, fears and desires of others.
