About this artwork
Tactile Presence explores repetitive tactile gestures as a subtle form of self-regulation and embodied attention. Through closely juxtaposed fragments of intertwined hands, the painting focuses on the instinctive search for sensory grounding—those unconscious micro-movements capable of creating momentary relief within an inner tension.
Rather than constructing identity through facial expression, the work shifts attention to touch itself: pressure,… contact, texture, and movement become the true emotional language of the painting. The dissolved contours and softened transitions reinforce this feeling of a body experienced from within rather than observed from without.
Part of the Repetition series, this work explores how certain repetitive bodily rituals can become both a source of calming, concentration and a silent negotiation with sensory overload.

France
A Czech-born painter living in France, she develops a figurative practice centered on the body as a site of inner transformation. Nourished by training in visual arts and fashion design, her painting—influenced by expressionism—blends anatomical rigor with instinctive gestures.
Through figures often isolated, immersed, or confronted by a boundary (water, glass, surface), her work explores the processes of individuation and integration of the Shadow, in the sense of Carl Gustav Jung. The body becomes the visible stage for psychic and perceptual tensions, revealing

Flesh becomes the visible terrain of an intimate passage, where psychic tensions, sensory perception, and presence crystallize in the pictorial matter.
