About this artwork
This painting is part of my series devoted to repetitive gestures and micro-movements of the body, often called stimming — gestures that allow the body to regulate internal tension.
The deliberately close-up composition creates an almost uncomfortable proximity to the body. This tight framing invites the viewer to physically feel the tension contained in this minimal gesture.
The movement is simple: a finger lightly pressing the skin. Yet this… contact carries a subtle nervous charge. The painting technique accompanies this sensation: the transitions are softened, the surfaces are worked delicately, while a silent tension runs through the image.
By isolating and amplifying these micro-gestures, I seek to make visible a body language that is often ignored. These movements can be moments of regulation, concentration, or relief.

A Czech-born painter living in France, she develops a figurative practice centered on the body as a site of inner transformation. Nourished by training in visual arts and fashion design, her painting—influenced by expressionism—blends anatomical rigor with instinctive gestures.
Through figures often isolated, immersed, or confronted by a boundary (water, glass, surface), her work explores the processes of individuation and integration of the Shadow, in the sense of Carl Gustav Jung. The body becomes the visible stage for psychic and perceptual tensions, revealing

Flesh becomes the visible terrain of an intimate passage, where psychic tensions, sensory perception, and presence crystallize in the pictorial matter.
