A surreal homage to the Black Forest. The deer wear the typical Black Forest Bollen hats, the aurochs looks on curiously and the cuckoo lays its egg in other people's nests. A fairy and a red something mysteriously hover above everything.
Comments from viewers:
“It’s pretty chilly there! The special thing is the green thing that looks like a flying Statue of Liberty... ;-)”
“Our Black Forest has a lot to offer. But your imagination lets it shine… in a whole new light. I would never have thought that Bollenhuts would suit deer so well!”
“Truly an enchanted forest. Wizard!”
“Surreal and crazy, the colors are almost psychedelic. Crazy and good!”
“It enchanted me! Magnificent colors!”
This digital painting is printed on aluminum dibond using lightfast UV direct printing and comes with a gallery profile hanger. The edition of the painting for sale is limited to 4 copies, numbered and hand-signed.
Hans Batschauer is a German painter who exhibits nationally and internationally in both group and solo exhibitions.
Originally painting with oil and acrylic, since 2021 he has focused entirely on digital painting in the style of New Surrealism. He creates “transformative and mysterious paintings,” as he himself writes, which convey a unique visual language of suggestive power in luminous colors. In doing so, he does not imitate classical painting techniques, but creates complex hybrid compositions using a whole range of digital tools. At the heart of his often symbolically and religiously charged picture stories is man with his feelings, dreams and longings.
