About this artwork
* Watercolor on paper
* There are natural creases on the paper.
This work captures the subconscious mind regarding interdisciplinary art. For several years, images kept surfacing subconsciously, which was a love for dance. Having a special interest in contemporary dance and contemporary ballet in particular, I aimed to capture their movements and the texture of their muscles in this painting. It is a work where many subconscious thoughts were captured… spontaneously and specifically through Korean painting, while simultaneously adding traditional Korean elements to create a colorful, multi-layered drawing.

Hari Park is a painter and digital visual artist from South Korea, trained in traditional East Asian painting and deeply rooted in the use of mineral pigments, mother-of-pearl, silk, and 3D technology. She masterfully layers delicate mineral pigments onto mulberry paper and silk, creating luminous abstract surfaces that blend classical techniques with contemporary mixed media, such as digital animation and interdisciplinary collaborations with dance and music. With her practice, she conveys meditative serenity, inner peace, and profound self-reflection, inviting viewers to connect with their own emotions and experience the world more deeply.
