About this artwork
These were drawings done on Jangji with water-based pigments and acrylic paint. When I was active only as a painter, I liked various attempts and experiments, so I used to create works by fusing Traditional East Asian and Western materials on Jangji.
Since then, beyond just materials, I planned exhibitions and performances by inviting various creators and including performance art. I tried to capture those subconscious minds and future dreams… on Jangji.
Although I plan multidisciplinary work, the essence is painting, so these are paintings I drew to cherish that mindset, and they were works that started from the dancer's muscles and ultimately tried to embody more energy.
