About this artwork
In creating this piece, I embraced the rugged textures and earthy tones that speak to the essence of nature's enduring spirit. I used tar, beeswax, pigments, pit lime and marble powder to build depth and intrigue, allowing each element to contribute its unique voice. The abstract composition invites contemplation, hinting at stories etched by time. This artwork is a testament to serenity and resilience, designed to bring a peaceful yet powerful energy… into any space.
Salt Stories
The rust in these works once belonged to the pier—
anchored in place, kissed by tides,
silent witness to waves, winds, time.
How much salt water has this iron known?
How many ships passed, how many storms broke
while it held fast beneath the surface?
Now lifted from its moorings,
it rests in wax and tarpaper—
no longer corroding, but remembering.
In the stillness of iron,
the sea tells its stories.
The Art of Fusion... is what gives Hasina Khan’s work its striking versatility and unique character. With a deep curiosity and an experimental approach, she explores the boundaries of various techniques and seamlessly merges them into a harmonious whole. Her artistic journey began with photography, which remains a central element of her work. In addition to cyanotype and abstract painting, she is particularly drawn to encaustic painting—an ancient technique in which molten beeswax and pigments blend to create captivating, tactile surfaces. Through the curiosity, spontaneity, the interplay of texture, colorant light, she creates in her Artstudio in Wiesbaden artworks that are both visually and physically engaging. Her name stands for creative Fusion- ArtFusion Hasina
