About this artwork
A silent, frozen landscape unfolds in layers of soft white and delicate blue. Cracks of limestone and marble dust lie hidden beneath the surface—invisible yet tangible. Fragmented structures rise like frost, creating a tactile tension between stillness and depth. Here, where the ice meets the light, the silence begins to shimmer.

I use lime putty and marble dust as a base in my encaustic works to… create natural cracks and texture. Lime putty hardens over time, while marble dust adds a soft luminosity. The cracks develop naturally, and I accentuate them with inks before applying encaustic beeswax. This creates depth and an organic, weathered look, inspired by nature and ancient surfaces.
