About this artwork
Where Denmark ends in the northeast, the days in midsummer are very expressive and therefore unique. One is alone on this beach amidst drifting sand, mist, wind, and sea. There, our thoughts are free, and we let ourselves drift. We are usually not looking for anything concrete; instead, we float lightly and freely, feeling safe and secure. With its soft, open spaces in delicately graduated nuances of blue and sand, this triptych allows the viewer… to immerse themselves in the described mood and embark on their own journey of thought. The very light and delicate blue tones of these almost monochrome works have a very calming effect, and the form-free painting style opens the senses to the boundless. The subtle gradations of brightness create a three-dimensional impression in a space without boundaries, perhaps linked to the association of flying.
« I want to be creative and experience creativity. Therefore I paint what I feel and with great tension, I look at what surrounds me. »
Hasso Heybrock is an artist based in Germany who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Denmark, Italy, and Spain. He believes that looking at a painting means walking into an unknown adventure through the picture, where hidden emotions come to the surface. For Heybrock, making the adventure as intense and exciting as possible for the viewer is his main challenge as a painter.
